    Biography

    Dr. Ahearn completed his undergraduate education at the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He continued his education at the University of Maryland's School of Medicine in Baltimore where he received his MD (medicine) and PhD degree (molecular and cell biology). He recently completed his general surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco this past year. During his surgical residency, Dr. Ahearn worked with Dr. Sang-Mo Kang to determine liver transplant tolerance in mice.
